Location: Online via Google Meet.
Join us for a dive into how Large Language Models (LLMs) and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server can be combined to build an AI-powered chatbot that queries the OpenStreetMap (OSM) database. This session will demonstrate the working codeâavailable on GitHubâfor both the backend and frontend components.
Weâll briefly introduce the key concepts behind LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and how MCP enables structured and safe querying of geospatial data.
This meetup is especially relevant for OSM contributors and enthusiasts interested in how AI might interact with and rely on OSM data. Understanding these use cases can help shape future contributions and improve AI-readiness of geospatial content.
